She was born in England in 1922 and emigrated to the United States in 1951 where she started her career as a chef at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Chicago.

In 1971, she opened Eugenie’s Cooking School which quickly became one of New York City’s most highly acclaimed cooking schools. She is survived by her husband, four children and nine grandchildren
